The Heart of A Lost Man

Psalm 51

Introduction:

1. For a brief time tonight I want to take you on a painful trip—through the minds and hearts of lost people and their condition.

2. Heb. 2:3 speaks of a great salvation, perhaps we do not realize how great

3. Sometimes it takes seeing for ourselves what being lost is to awaken in our hearts a desire to reach out

Condition of a Lost Person:

1. Alone

· without God (Eph. 2:11,12)

· doesn’t understand God (1 Cor. 2:14,15)

· distant from God (Isa. 59:1,2)

· God does not hear prayer (Ps. 66: 18 If I regard wickedness in my heart, The Lord will not hear)

2. Unforgiven

· guilty (Ps. 51:3 For I know my transgressions, And my sin is ever before me)

· enslaved to sin (John 8:34)

· ashamed (Luke 18:18 the publican)

· afraid (Heb. 10:26-31)

3. Unhappy

· without promise (2 Cor. 1:20)

· without hope (Eph. 2:11,12)

· without direction of the Bible (Amos 8:11,12)

· without peace (Phil. 4:6,7)

· bound for hell (Luke 8:28-31)

Who do you know who is lost? Matt. 7:13,14

What Your Good News Will Say to Them? How Can You Help them? Tell them the story of Jesus!!

God can help you!

God will be with you!
