Genuine Christianity
The famous Robert Redford was walking through a hotel one day. A woman saw him and followed him to the elevator.
"Are you the real Robert Redford?" she asked him with excitement.
As the elevator doors closed, he replied, "Only when I am alone!"
We all have public faces and private lives. Obviously some things are private and not public, but some folks live a lie in public—pretending to be what they are not.
There is a difference between appearance and reality. I have never known someone to have high respect for a pretender—once the pretender was exposed for what he is.
Characteristics of Genuine Christianity
There is high interest in salvation but low interest in Christian living. While church attendance remains good, morals in America are not good. More people want to "get saved" than "act saved."
