Many
people live weak Christian lives because the word does not permeate them. (1 Thess. 2:13) And for this reason we also constantly thank God that when you
received from us the word of God's message, you accepted it not as the word of
men, but for what it really is, the word of God, which also performs its work
in you who believe.
4.
Early
Christians couldn’t get enough of it (Acts 2:42)
And they were continually devoting themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.

We search the world for truth; we cull
The good, the pure, the beautiful,
From all old flower fields of the

And, weary seekers of the best,
We come back laden from our quest,
To find that all the sages said
Is in the book our mothers read. (John Greenleaf Whittier)

The
