Concord Road Church of Christ is a congregation of New Testament Christians who want to share with others the joy that they have found and who strive to accomplish God's will for them. We hope that you will like what you learn about the congregation and God's word via this Web site.

LADS TO LEADERS INFORMATION PACKET AVAILABLE
Anyone interested in participating in Lads to Leaders should pick up a blue information packet located on the entry table in the foyer. The packet contains information on how to register your child and reserve a hotel room at convention, plus other new event information. Signups are due by Wednesday, September 16. Contact Shane Austin with questions.

FALL FEST
Fall Fest will be held on Saturday, September 19, from 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. There’s fun for the whole family! Free cookout-(Bar-B-Q & sides, hot dogs for kids), large inflatables, live bands, bluegrass music, free face painting, ice cream & more! It’s a free community wide event! *Please sign up on the bulletin board across from Melissa’s office to volunteer for this outreach & fun event for our community! Attention Fellow Auto Enthusiasts! Come share your vintage or unique automotive motorcycle treasure with others at this year’s Fall Fest from 11-2:00 p.m. See Frank Walton for more information.

CONGREGATIONAL MEN'S BREAKFAST
There will be an all Men’s Breakfast on Saturday, September 26, at 8:30 a.m. in Fellowship A. This is for men of all ages! Please sign up on the bulletin board in the hallway across from Melissa’s office or the email form if you plan on attending. If you can help cook please see Michael Mazo.

FRIENDSPEAK TEACHERS NEEDED
Brentwood Hills Church of Christ has a waiting list for female teachers to study the Bible with the FriendSpeak program on Tuesday nights from 6:30 -7:30 p.m. Please give prayerful consideration about this evangelism opportunity. If you decide this is something you want to do, please either call Betty Wiley (615-776-5257) or email me bettybwiley@comcast.  Even if you are uncertain about this, I can meet with you and give you an orientation to help answer any questions.   

CONGREGATIONAL BABY SHOWER
There will be a congregational baby shower for Jared & Lauren Dougan on Sunday, September 27, after evening services. Please bring finger foods and desserts. Jared & Lauren are registered at Target, Babies R Us. It’s a boy & his nursery colors are white, soft gray & soft blue.

BIBLE STUDY
We are so excited to announce that two new Bible study groups will be kicking-off soon!! First, we are going to have a class for ladies of all ages of the congregation that will begin meeting on Tuesday mornings at 10 a.m. This class will begin on September 1st. We really want to encourage ladies of all ages to attend. We can discuss the needs for childcare if there's interest.
Second, we are going to have a bi-monthly Bible study group meeting at Belvedere Commons of Franklin Assisted Living. This effort will begin on August 31st at 11:15 a.m. and will meet every other Monday. We truly pray this effort serves to encourage the residents living there. If you have any questions about either of these or you would like to find out how you can get involved, please feel free to ask Joe Wells.

LADIES BIBLE CLASS
The Concord Road Ladies Bible Class will start back up again on Tuesday, September 1, at 10:00 a.m. in the Library with Joe Wells. The subject will be on a study of 1 & 2 Peter. Invite your friends & neighbors! Hope to see you there!

TEAM CONCORD ROAD K-5TH GRADE
Kindergarteners are invited to be a part of the Team Concord Road 1st-5th Grade Youth Group for any and/or all future events. If you would like to be included on the email list that is used to communicate upcoming events, please call or email Vonda Rhodes (615-477-9122 or vannrhodes@gmail.com). Upcoming Events: September 20: End of Summer Picnic after Bible class at the Alsup’s.

BIBLE BOWL PRACTICE INFORMATION
Bible Bowl 2015 is almost here! In addition to the KFC study sessions led by James Barrett during Sunday evening services, we are adding practices on Sunday afternoons at 4:30 p.m. Contact Greg Smith to register participants, reserve hotel rooms, get on the e-mail list, or if you have any questions about our Bible Bowl program.

HELP NEEDED FOR INNER CITY MINISTRY

Inner City Ministry youth classes meet on Tuesday nights through the school year at the church building. We are in need of bus drivers, teachers & classroom helpers for both the fall & spring semesters.

Our Christian service groups have been reorganized from color groups into zip codes. See below to determine which group you are now in. *Due to 37027 being so large it has been divided into 2 groups by last names.

Green Group: Zip Code-37027 & last name ends in A-L.
Blue Group: Zip Code-37027 & last name ends in M-Z & zip code 37215 & 37220.
Red Group: Zip Codes-37064, 37069, 37221, 37062.
Yellow Group: Zip Codes-37211, 37013, 37135, 37167, 37014, 37046.
Orange Group: Zip Codes-37067 & 37174.


COFFEE SERVICE HELP NEEDED
If you are interested in helping prepare coffee & hot chocolate for Sunday mornings you are encouraged to sign up on the 40/50's bulletin board. We would love to have your help! If interested see either Shawn Everson or Lori Locke.

JOIN DAILY THOUGHT

We are very excited to announce a new effort we are calling “Daily Thought” which is designed to keep spiritual thoughts at the forefront in each of our lives.
When you subscribe you will automatically be added & will begin receiving your “Daily Thought including either scriptures, quotes from Dan’s Sunday lessons, or simple motivational thoughts. Read them on your lunch break, right before you go into that big meeting, or discuss them as a family each night around the dinner table. They will bless you and help you keep you focused. So…go ahead and send the text to: 81010 & enter @cr2day in the message. You will be asked for your name. Please send that back to us. That’s how we know who’s subscribed. If at any time you decide you want to unsubscribe, simply reply to the “Daily Thought” text – “Unsubscribe” – and you will be immediately be removed from the list.


BIBLE BOWL

Bible Bowl this year is over the books of 1st & 2nd Thessalonians, 1st & 2nd Timothy, Titus & Philemon. Study sessions have begun on Sunday nights in the KFC rooms downstairs during evening service.

Anyone in KFC or that is participating in Bible Bowl, from the youngest to those who will go into 12th grade next year, is welcome & encouraged to attend. See James Barrett for more information.

In addition to streaming, many of our regular website pages are available for your use from the menus or the toolbar, in mobile friendly format. Note that these pages are under development and you may witness problems with some of them. Also, some pages are not available at this time. Eventually we intend to provide most of the functionality of our main site through the mobile version. To watch a service, expand “Watch Online” and click on "Live Streaming".


COME AND GO GAME NIGHT
Come & Go Game Night will meet every 1st & 3rd Friday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Tea Room.

FALL QUARTER
The Fall Quarter will begin on Wednesday, September 2. Pick up a brochure in the foyer for a list of classes.
