Concord Road Church of Christ is a congregation of New Testament Christians who want to share with others the joy that they have found and who strive to accomplish God's will for them. We hope that you will like what you learn about the congregation and God's word via this Web site.

CONGREGATIONAL FELLOWSHIP MEAL
There will be a congregational fellowship on Wednesday, October 12, at 5:15-6:30 p.m. Menu: Grilled Pork Chops, Mashed Potatoes, Italian Cut Green Beans, Rolls, Cake & Cream dessert. Adults $7, Children 6-12 years $4, Guests & children under 6 are free. Max $25/ family.

BRIDAL TEA
Ladies you are invited to a Bridal Tea for Carrie Chapman , fiancée of Michael Stults on Sunday, November 6, from 2:00 –4:00 p.m. Carrie & Michael are registered at Pottery Barn & Bed, Bath & Beyond.

SYMPATHY
Our sympathy is extended to the family of James Hunter on the passing of his sister-in-law Brenda Hunter on Tuesday, September 27. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time.

LADIES BIBLE CLASS LUNCH
The Ladies Bible Class will be going to eat at the City Café on Tuesday, October 4, immediately after class. We will take the bus if you need a ride. Class begins at 10:00 a.m.

LADIES FALL BRUNCH
The Ladies Fall Brunch will be held on Friday, October 21, at 10:30 a.m. at the home of Tamara Paden (1400 Cerrisse Court in Brentwood). Bring your favorite fall brunch food. Children are welcomed to attend!

TENNESSEE CHILDREN'S HOME FALL FOOD & SUPPLY DRIVE
Tennessee Children’s Home Fall Food and Supply Drive We will be collecting food and supplies for the Tennessee Children’s Home now through Sunday, October 9, in the East and West foyer entrances.  Pick up date is Tuesday, October 11.
Requested items include the following: Bisquick, Baked Beans, Honey Mustard Dressing (non-refrigerated), Pop Tarts, Kool-Aid (Canisters), Canned Tuna, Mayonnaise, Mustard, Velveeta Cheese.
Supplies include the following: Large Bath Towels (white), Liquid Laundry Detergent, Kitchen/Bathroom Spray Cleaner, Paper Towels, Men’s Deodorant, Aluminum Foil. *They ask that each family consider giving $15 in cash or check for the purchase of perishable foods such as milk, meat & produce. You may give this to Scott McFarlin.

NON-PICTORIAL DIRECTORY UPDATE
We are in the process of updating our Non-Pictorial Directory. To check that your information is correct, please open this PDF attachment of a draft of our directory. If you see any changes that need to be made please email melissa@concordroad.org with those changes before Friday, October 21. If I don’t get an email back I will assume that your information is correct. You can also go to our website at www.concordroad.org and log on to the member directory with your user name and password you created. If you haven’t set up your own username & password please email me and I will send you instructions on how to do that.

LADIES RETREAT
Ladies, mark your calendars for January 27-28, 2017! We will be having a ladies retreat at Montgomery Bell State Park and ladies of all ages are welcome & wanted. More information will soon follow. If you have any questions, see Eric Wells.

SHOWER COMMITTEE HELP NEEDED
We could use your help! Several of our shower committee’s need volunteers. If you would be willing to be added to a committee please email the office at melissa@concordroad.org. Usually, a committee works about 1 shower a year….depending on the number of weddings and new babies! It’s a great way to get to know the other ladies of the congregation!

PRESCHOOL PLAYGROUP GET TOGETHER
The playgroup will head to Walden Farms (pumpkin patch) on Saturday, October 22. We will meet at 9:30 a.m. There will be hay rides, a corn maze, a petting zoo, food, pumpkins, mums and live music. Free admission/parking. While most of the fun is free, a few games/activities do cost a small amount. Address: 8653 Rocky Fork Rd Smyrna, TN.

SISTERS IN CHRIST
Ladies of all ages invited to the next gathering of "Sisters in Christ" on October 20, at 6:30 at the home of Tamera Paden. Devotional lead by Tara O'Neal. Bring a crockpot of soup or other fall themed dish to share and let's celebrate the beginning of another beautiful season, fall. See Amanda Turner, Amber Hammond, or Erin Wells with questions.

LADIES PRAYER GROUP
All ladies of the congregation are invited to meet on Sunday, October 30, at 5:00 p.m. in the library to pray. All ladies are welcome to join us as we take a few minutes to pray for each other & those who need prayers. If you or anyone you know needs our prayers, please join us.

FALL FEST
Fall Fest will be held on Saturday, October 1, from 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. There’s fun for the whole family! Free cookout (Bar-B-Q & sides, hot dogs for kids) large inflatables, live bands, bluegrass music, free face painting, ice cream & more! It’s a free community wide event! *Please sign up on the bulletin board across from Melissa’s office to volunteer for this outreach & fun event for our community! And for Fellow Auto Enthusiasts…… Come share your vintage or unique automotive or motorcycle treasure with others at this year’s Fall Fest. Use this as an opportunity to invite folks who have this interest. See Frank Walton or Alan Stephens for more information.

LADIES BIBLE CLASS
The Concord Road Ladies Bible Class meets on Tuesdays at 10:00 a.m. in the Children’s Bible room with Joe Wells. The subject is a study of Hosea. Childcare & coffee provided. Invite your friends & neighbors!

COME AND GO GAME NIGHT
Come & Go Game Night will meet every 1st & 3rd Friday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Tea Room.

FALL QUARTER
The Fall Quarter has begun. Pick up a brochure in the foyer for a list of classes.
